An introduction to April

April is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
Winter kept us warm, covering
Earth in forgetful snow, feeding
A little life with dried tubers.
T.S. Eliot

Today is April 1st and is known as April Fool's Day.  Do you like to play tricks on people?   Do you enjoy having tricks played on you?

This is one of the most famous British Television April Fool's Day broadcasts when Richard Dimbleby, who was known for his serious broadcasting, did the voice over in this video.

You can find out more about the month here:  Wikipedia

And you can see Frank Bramley's painting of Primrose Day at the Tate.

April is also known for April Showers.
